The Curby Story

Curby started with the realization that no one should have to break out in a cold sweat when they wake up to the sound of the garbage truck.

In 2019 I moved into a shared-living house and was concerned about how we were going to coordinate the chore of prepping all of the garbage bins for garbage day.  To my surprise, the house had a deal with a kid in the neighborhood.  Each tenant paid him a monthly fee, and in return, the bins just... appeared at the curb and returned to the side of the house every week like magic.

It was a dream come true.

I never thought I would be the type of person to care so much about such a small chore like garbage day, but over the years the service became a genuine source of joy.  I loved the peace of mind that it brought, and knowing that I was providing a local kid with some spending money.

I started Curby to give everyone the chance to experience the dream of never having to think about garbage day again.
